Email accounts and purchase data
Clerk verifies your email and manages sign-in. Our database stores your member ID, verified email, Paddle transaction IDs, payment/refund status and license status. We do not store email verification codes or passwords in our database. Clerk manages essential sign-in cookies; the Mac app does not collect them. A separate essential cookie remembers your chosen website language for one year.
Mac activation and offline use
The app connects for initial activation and regular license checks. We store the Mac’s display name, an app-generated public key, and registration/check timestamps, not its hardware serial number. Check the display name because it may contain personal information. The private key and signed activation stay in that Mac’s Keychain; the private key is never sent to us. Activations contain no email or payment details and expire within 7 days. Pairing codes last 10 minutes and one-use verification challenges 60 seconds. Only hashes of these secrets are stored on the server.
Menu bar data
Menu items, app icons, pointer locations and screen contents are not sent to the license server. We do not capture screens, collect clipboard contents or record global keystrokes. App settings stay in UserDefaults on your Mac. The optional drawer uses Accessibility to read item names, positions and supported actions, and uses this information only in memory.
Payments and service providers
Paddle handles payment details; we do not store card numbers. Transactions are linked to your internal member ID. Neon PostgreSQL stores account, purchase and device data; Vercel hosts the website and private installers. Providers may process technical information such as IP addresses. Our own rate-limit records store keyed IP hashes rather than raw IP addresses. We do not install separate analytics or advertising SDKs. See the providers’ privacy policies below.
Account management and deletion requests
You can remove registered Macs in your account. Deleting an account stops new sign-ins and license renewals, but existing offline activations may remain valid until they expire. Transaction data may be retained for payment/refund verification and legal retention obligations. Administrative license changes are logged with the operator and reason. Contact us for purchase support or requests about access, correction, deletion and retention periods. This policy does not limit rights granted by applicable law.
